Biography

Sally Clegg is a multidisciplinary artist from Pelham Massachusetts with a background in both visual and literary arts. She graduated with honors from Goucher College in 2010 with a BA in Studio Art and a Minor in English. Her approach to artmaking relies on fiction as a means of reaching otherwise inaccessible areas of experience, and her most recent project uses skin as the primary metaphor to discuss physical and metaphysical barriers between humans.

Sally joined the Stamps community after six years of work at Zea Mays Printmaking, a studio and research facility dedicated to safe and sustainable printmaking practices. Her prints appear in the permanent collections of the New York Public Library, Hampshire College, Wheaton College, and the University of Michigan. Her most recent solo exhibition, Bundle, was shown at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the spring of 2018. She is a 2018 Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellow in Drawing & Printmaking.
