In-Person Event for grades 9-12
Join us at the museum! In our Drawing at the Museum program, students will spend an afternoon at the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) and develop their observational drawing skills using the U-M’s world-class art collection.
Stamps requires applicants to include two design or observational drawings in their undergraduate portfolio. In this afternoon program, participants will have an opportunity to sharpen fundamental drawing skills in the galleries of the museum. Drawing time will be followed by a guided tour of the museum’s recently opened exhibitions. This program will not only help participants to improve their drawing skills, but to understand how the UMMA is an invaluable resource that enriches the Stamps student experience.
Drawing at the Museum sessions will take place on Saturday, October 15, and Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 1:00pm-3:30pm ET. This class will meet in-person at the University of Michigan Museum of Art.
Saturday, October 15 and Saturday, October 29, 2022
Participation in each Drawing at the Museum event costs $25. This program fee includes instructional materials and security deposit.
