Advising & Support

At the Stamps School of Art & Design, our Advising Team supports students every step of the way: from orientation to graduation. We are here to help you succeed.

Undergraduate Advising

Students meet 1 – 1 with their advisor a minimum of six times throughout their Stamps education. Peer Advisors — upper-class students who know the ropes — are available every week to assist with International Experience questions, course scheduling, and other concerns. During junior year, students formally secure a faculty mentor to offer additional coaching on course recommendations, career trajectories and professional development opportunities, and ways to deepen creative practice.

The Stamps Advising Team is committed to making sure that students have the guidance they need to make the most from their time at the University of Michigan.

Get Assistance

There are lots of different ways for current Stamps undergraduate students to connect with the help they need:

Visit the Stamps Academic Advising Intranet site (access restricted to current students) for more information.

If you’re an undergraduate student enrolled in another U‑M school or college, learn about the Art & Design Minor on our site.
