The 2023 MFA First Year Exhibition is on view from March 30-April 29, 2023 at the Stamps Graduate/Faculty Studios, 1919 Green Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48109.

Join us at the public exhibition reception on Friday April 7, 2023 from 6 – 8pm (no RSVP required).

Graduate Leah Crosby: The Undone: The Operator

Graduate Abigail Lowe: Field Notes from the Strange House

A 3D resin printed military tank is cut in half where we can see a bone structure inside it. The bone structure fills the inside space of the tank as if a biological species was inhabiting it.

Graduate Okyoung Noh: My American-ish Flag

A giant boulder-like form, about 8x8 feet, hanging from the ceiling. It is colored and textured in an exaggerated way - appearing rock-like, but not at all a real earthly rock. It hangs at about 8 feet above the ground, so you can stand under it. It appears to be breathing - slowly shrinking and growing, repeatedly.
