Zoë Dong is a filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist working in multiples from Akron, Ohio. After graduating with a B.A. in Studio Art from Smith College, she spent five years working at the internationally known Zea Mays Printmaking, starting as a research intern and eventually becoming faculty. She has shown work at various arts organizations in New England, and has participated in numerous group shows with Zea Mays in Massachusetts and further afield at Wharepuke Arts in New Zealand. Dong has also worked in the documentary film world, serving as associate producer for the feature documentary Where I Became, broadcast on national PBS stations in 2024. Her own short films have been screened in the Good Night’s Sleep screening series and the Five College Film Festival in Amherst, MA. Her thematic interests include personal archives and family histories; embodiment and alienation; and performance and construction of identity.
