"I established a scholarship for the Stamps Pre-College Programs in honor of my mother and her sister, who were both devoted to K–12 education and to encouraging young creatives. I see firsthand how powerfully these programs prepare students to pursue their passions in college and beyond. Scholarships are essential to broadening participation and advancing equity, ensuring more students can benefit from these transformative experiences."
Veronica Vergoth, Stamps Senior Assistant Dean for Admissions and Student ServicesGet ready to celebrate and support students, projects, and initiatives at the Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design on Giving Blueday. This annual tradition of giving at U‑M kicks off at midnight on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
Join us in support of Pre-College Programs for current high school students interested in art & design. On Giving Blueday, your gift at any level will help to make these opportunities possible for all students.
Our programs give students in grades 9 – 12 the opportunity to build competitive portfolios and develop new skills. With virtual, after-school, and residential programs, students learn from Stamps faculty and benefit from our facilities and studios.
30% of students in our Pre-College programs receive some form of scholarship or aid.
Your gift will directly support students in need of aid, providing scholarships to attend workshops, classes, and intensive programs. This support will help talented high school students build strong portfolios, grow their creative confidence, and gain access to opportunities that shape their future. For many students, these programs are the first step toward becoming the next generation of artists and designers.
