Process-based installation situated in an open and in a closed space, establishing a dialectical relationship between the ephemeral and what remains. "Depurations" is a work which is a process and an object at the same time.

Process stages:

1.-Discarded coconuts were recollected in the streets of Caracas.

2.-Coconuts were put over two raw canvasses outdoors.

3.-Climate conditions acted over coconuts until they completely dried and left several stains over the canvasses.

4.- The material was recollected and moved to a closed space for the second phase of the installation.

5.- Interaction between space, material and the participants was considered to determine the final layout.

6.- The whole process was photographically recorded and the images are substantial part of the work.
