A two tone poster. The bottom third is black, while the upper two thirds is a salmon color. A red graphic that represents a gun points up to the top, with the bottom half of the gun cut off at the trigger. 147 is in large font at the top. The word enough is written down the barrel of the gun, and the word "is" sits above the black base.

147 is Enough

Poster, 2021

By April this year, I was becoming frustrated as I noticed a recurring trend. Every day it seemed like I woke up to a new mass shooting in the news. On one particular morning, I’d had enough. I read Madeline Holcombe’s CNN article The US has reported at least 45 mass shootings in the last month in which she explains how by April 18th the US had seen collectively at least 147 mass shootings. Upon reading this I was no longer frustrated. I was furious. Too many lives have been lost to such an avoidable and senseless problem. That’s why I created this poster. I hope it raises awareness about the sheer number of mass shootings this country experiences, so ultimately we can move forward towards increased gun control legislation.
