Breathe (stylized as breathe) is BGIRL MAMA’s debut single released in November 2020. The song infuses traditional Khmer rhythm and instruments with contemporary pop sounds. In the video, BGIRL MAMA represents herself as a Cambodian Muslimah B-Girl as she is modestly covered while wearing Khmer traditional clothing and Apsara headgear. She also wears a flatbill ball cap with a “CAMBODIA” script across it as well as a cap with “DYNAMITE” script on it to show her love to her favorite artist BTS. Breathe is written and produced by Mary Mar aka BGIRL MAMA. The song is about finding and living your passion, whatever it may be, and that passion makes “your heart breathe.”
