A studio cubicle with all three walls covered in colorful dyed fabric. Near one wall, a performance video is projected onto a silk skirt. Garments are pinned to the other two walls and a dark, rainbow woven shawl is suspended near the studio's entrance.

Textiles, video performance

Through garment and performance, I materialize my healing from sexual violence as a transgender man; a reality often obscured from public view. Each garment embodies a moment in recovery, moving from vulnerability to obscurity, then reclamation.

In performance, the garments become extensions of my body, shifting between concealment and exposure. Their textile transitions illuminate moments of epiphany, tracing the nonlinear rhythm of healing.

As sculptures, the garments shed their attachment to my body and narrative. Suspended, they seek new perspectives. This collection challenges the narrow framing of gendered survivorship by revealing glimpses of complexity, ambiguity, and resilience in healing.
