My character and the book comes to life when the reader pulls the tab of the pop up.

Paper To Life

By creating an interactive pop-up book, I aim to encourage readers to embrace playfulness and make text more dynamic. Books are traditionally presented in a fixed format–words on a page–why should this be the only way? As we grow older, reading texts feels more and more rigid, constraining the way we are able to consume information. Physically engaging with books allows individuals to become more immersed in the experience of reading. The imaginative freedom I embraced when I was young felt beyond what a book was able to provide me. I have realized that I learn differently, and my dreams of magical worlds and limitless creativity have shifted my perspective in how I approach my work today. My goal is to inspire readers to reconnect with the curiosity and excitement we experienced as children, fostering an opportunity to rediscover the joy of books.
