Two figures painted in red and blue engage in an argument with one another. The two personas clash over an unnamed political issue. The dialogue highlights how often we argue, not because of true disagreement, but because we can’t embrace perspectives different from our own. The subtitles occasionally differ from the spoken dialogue, reflecting larger political debates where many don't say what they truly mean. This work reflects on the polarization in today’s society, especially within my generation. By stripping the conversation of specific context, I show how deeply ingrained these divides are, regardless of the topic. The red and blue represent the binary lens through which we view the world—two sides perpetually at odds, unable to see their shared humanity. Through this piece, I invite viewers to question their own roles in political discourse. How often do we argue to be right rather than to understand? This video is open to interpretation, but if there is one thing to take away, it would be to listen to one another. Engage in dialogue, even if it's with someone you think you might have nothing in common with. This is the only way to create change.
