Tapestry pinned in the middle of the photo. The top beings as yellow and then gradates down into a bright pink color. As the main color fades from bright yellow to pink, the under coloring fades from pink at the top to yellow on the bottom. Yellow tassels hang at the bottom of the tapestry. The pattern on the textile is a diamond patterning.

When Paths Align

Grace Hardy

Hand dyed with synthetic dye on Warped Cotton

Undergraduate
When Paths Align tells a story about people and memories moving through my being and the impact they have left on my character. The colors drift together, meet in the middle, and then drift back out to their opposite color while hints of the previous color continue to linger representing how everything has an impact on who I am. The warp and weft of the piece is fully hand-dyed with a synthetic dye. The piece itself is made up of a warped cotton thread and woven in a herringbone pattern to further the story of my complex being.
