A rabbit in sterile clothing, who looks like a parent, is looking down with a weary and pitiful gesture at a small mouse sitting on a hospital bed right next to rabbits, wearing a mask and patient gown, with earphones plugged into a digital device that mouse was focusing on. A sign on the hospital bed where the mouse is sitting reads “Leukémyš” in small letters, and further below with a description of the mouse. Behind this are depictions of essential equipment in a hospital room, and all figures in the room were surrounded by a curtain in the hospital room. Behind the curtain, a girl with black hair and wearing a doctor’s coat watches from afar, seemingly detached from them, with her back to the viewer were drawn in an sensational, yet deep emotion of colors on the hard paper board.

Leukémyš is an illustration made with only oil pastels on hard cardboard. The title is a portmanteau of the word "leukemia" in Czech: "leukémie", and "myš", meaning "mouse." Leukémyš illustrates a flashback of my feelings and emotions when a younger brother of my own was struggling with the same disease.
