Looming Waste is a series of quilted fiber sculptures made from recycled materials that highlights environmental degradation, American consumerism, and fast fashion. The oversized sculptures of littered items, like cans and plastic bags, serve as reminders of the waste created by our throwaway culture. By reimagining trash as art, the project encourages reflection on consumerism’s role in environmental harm and promotes the idea that even discarded materials can be transformed into something meaningful.
