I personified and symbolized the life of homemakers with a pair of red high heels. In their middle years, many homemakers feel their vibrant selves go unnoticed by others and the bright red high-heels bought in their youth have lost significance. Filled with chores and errands—few of which are their own—their lives feel cumbersome and overloaded, distorting time and making a day seem three times as long. Yet, they find themselves deprived of a personal purpose, with all their hard work centered around others, be it their husband or children. In their limited down time, they have nothing their own to do but wait for their husband and children to return. They are consistently overworked or at a loss.
