It was told that the hero Amrak lifted the entire land from pools of the abyss, away from the tides of beasts at the end of the lost era. A corner of the land cracked and shattered under his tight grasp, forming the intricate and dangerous landscapes uncovered by civilization over millennials. Now, with the rising demand for new natural resources, an expedition team under the investment of Northern Furakan Unions headed deep into this southern land, with Su, the scholar escorted by Finn the Shorekeeper, in the hope of recording all the bizarre creatures they met along this adventure… The Grasp is a combination of creature-design-bestiary and narrative illustrations, showing the species in the ecosystem at the hidden corner of a fantasy world, following the anthropological exploration of Su the scholar, and his companions. The project aims to highlight the eco-events in our world by relating the design of creatures to real species and the threats they are facing. Inviting the audience to think about the ongoing eco-crisis while enjoying the fantasy element.
