Ghost In My Kitchen is a collection including a music video, album art, and promotional photography based on the album of the same name by Alexa Kenny. This collection addresses themes of death, anxiety, and isolation while exploring the interdisciplinary relationship between music and visual art. I wanted to use this project as an opportunity to work in creative production and direction. This allowed me to wear many hats: director, producer, art director, camera operator, cinematographer, editor, costume designer, make-up designer, prop master, seamstress, stunt co-ordinator, actress, colourist, VFX editor, dolly grip, location scout, and storyboard artist.
As a part of this project, I conducted research on a diverse group of creative directors, authors, choreographers, and filmmakers including Carol Vernallis, John Foster, Brett Alan Nelson, Shay Latukolan, Josh Lloyd and Charlie Di Placido. Ghost In My Kitchen is a part of an ongoing collaboration between Kenny and I which began in 2021. We will continue working together on the rest of this collection after graduation, including a second music video that we will film this summer.
