Old Man Inspecting Nostril

Yassmine El-Rewini

Watercolor, pen, colored pencil

This scene is from a story about an old man who’s trying to get rid of the booger creatures living inside his nose. This piece represents my first steps in finding my creative voice. I was creating for my child self again, no longer worried about the opinions of others or my inner self-critic. I also challenged myself to try a medium that intimidated me: watercolor, which is now my go-to medium.
