Ein Sof Tapestry

Leather hide, laster etched and painted

This piece references the Kabbalistic concept of time as a spiral-the "Ein Sof", moving out in a cyclical way from a central origin. My name means Eve, and the story of Eve is referenced in this tapestry as a cyclical point–the choice to eat the fruit, the choice that also henceforth defined her as a gendered archetype. How are the echoes of this story still ringing out in our culture?
