One of my favorite animals is a mountain goat, and through Gavin the Goat I was able to convey its impressive ability to scale sheer cliffs of rock without injury at a high altitude (~13,000 feet above sea level). In the piece I demonstrated two vertical planes in which the goat is traversing across, and for its fur I wanted to try and utilize the printmaking tools to create texture and dimensionality. This piece allowed me to explore a medium that I have little experience with and I was also able to experiment with new techniques.
