This lithograph print features a portrait of a young woman centered on the page gazing her head slightly above. A garment is covering her head and is covered in a delicate and intricate pattern. The woman has tears streaming from her eyes and a spear through her heart. Her expression is of both anguish and pleasure. The figure is crowned by a white halo and the entire image is framed in a dark crimson red.

This work is largely inspired by biographical accounts of St. Theresa's Ecstasy, and serves as an exploration of the intricate themes of mysticism and sexuality. The piece captures the essence of St. Theresa's profound spiritual experience, where the sacred and the sensual merge into a transcendent union. My hope is to encourage contemplation of the profound interplay between mysticism and sexuality, while celebrating the beauty within the convergence of the spiritual and the carnal.
