In this piece bold red flowing lines portray movement, and forms when you back up it is hard to make out anything representational, But as you walk inwards the story reveals itself. The background is a white tone, and the lines making up the piece are all flowing in different bold directions. The piece is cropeed to suggest that there is more of this pattern to be seen outside of the frame.

In this piece bold red flowing lines portray movement in an illustrative approach. When looking at the forms close up it is easy to put together your own mental story however when you back up it is hard to make out anything representational. The piece is cropeed to suggest that there is more of this pattern to be seen outside of the frame. I wanted to explore the complex, diverse and flowing nature that life has to offer. As an artist I find this moving, and I hope to utilize that movement by exploring vivid lines and contrasting line weights creating representational yet abstract forms; aiming for a visual vibration to evoke a sense of nostalgia and life, something that our world has a tendency to neglect. The modern machine makes it very easy to lose passions and excitement. By not overlooking the unrepresented things within our lives we are more inclined to grow as people and experience life to its fullest potential.
