The primary image depicts two color relief prints of cars on suburban streets. The print on the left shows a car at twilight, with its headlights blazing a trail in front of it in a sharp blue and its glowing tail lights illuminating the street behind it in red. Green trees loom out of the silky midnight blue sky in sharp relief and violet flower petals fall gracefully on the waiting car and the street around it. The print on the right shows parked cars at dawn, the exact moment before the sun has come up over the horizon when the sky is a fierce blend of pink and purple, seemingly pushing the blue of the night sky out of the frame. A street light, still on from the night before, illuminates the picture in a stark yellow, exaggerating the shadows of the trees and nearby houses and revealing recently fallen leaves.

This diptych captures two distinct moments of the day; the moment soon after the sun has gone down in which color stands in stark contrast to the comforting blue of night and the moment in which the sky is brightening and the day is starting but the streetlights are still on, throwing everything into sharp relief. Together, they are a reminder to look for magic, and myth, in the seemingly mundane moments of life.
