“Terminal 1” is part of a series of images focusing on the impact of cars on the landscape. In exploring the forms and space of settings created for cars, devoid of their presence, mundane fixtures like gas stations and parking lots become alien. My intention with this work was to bring attention to the immense ways that we have shaped the environments that we inhabit- to prompt viewers to look at their own surroundings with more awareness.
