Camp Take Notice was a group of homeless people that lived in Ann Arbor’s first tent community, that worked in partnership with Mission, but it was shut down two years ago. Currently, there is a self-governing community, called M.I.S.S.I.O.N. (Michigan Itinerant Shelter System-Interdependent Out of Necessity) that is run by the same group of people that provides shelter and basic resources for the homeless and others in need of support is some way. The emphasis on community among all the camp members and faith-based organizations that donate every week to whatever is in need, is what sets it apart.
