By translating the symptoms of my rare medical condition into performance, painting, and video installation, I am confronting the most vulnerable dimensions of my identity. Intimate moments of vulnerability and anxiety are abstracted into painterly and digital metaphors. As this condition rises and recedes, a paradox emerges between my biology and my identity.
