The objective of the Coniferous Couch is to bring a comfortable and flexible environment to students and staff in university lounges. Current lounge settings are confusing layouts of couches and tables with no clear indication of personal space or usable surfaces. Like the pine tree, the Coniferous Couch is adaptable for many different environments, and is able to modify its form to fit the needs of its users. With adjustable armrests, students are able to customize their personal workspace to hold various items, share information, and separate themselves from other students.
