Two writing utensils that explore how the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease affects communication between the person afflicted and their loved ones. The pens interact by creating empathy: one designed with the loved ones in mind inhibits the act of writing through form and grip, while the other eases the action of writing, through support and lightness. It explores the loss of identity through the change of handwriting as the disease progresses.
