Catherine Jung: Stitched

Stitched

Catherine Jung

By embroidering large scale photographs from my childhood, I am adding my own personal memories and associations of that specific moment in time. Photographs are often thought of as indisputable evidence of a moment. This is true to an extent, but I feel they do not capture or recognize the full story. I use the embroidery to add another level of color and detail to the photographs in order to make them more true to my memories.
