Borrowed Presence simulates the presence of a person who has a meaningful relationship with the user in order to combat the loneliness inherent in one-person households. It uses light to reproduce the silent presence of the significant person in order to lessen the user's psychological and emotional vulnerability, while respecting their privacy.
