Mugen in Japanese translates as "dream" 夢幻, or "infinite" 無限. The non-literal translation refers to "without limits" or "without boundaries," a concept in Buddhism where we exist within one of the projected realities of an infinite number of worlds in which our reality is merely a dream or fantasy intersecting with other dreams and fantasies.
