I worked on a painting of Monahan's fish market for eight months. During that time, I drew at the market. This is a to-size drawing of that composition more or less. As I made changes, I added layers of tracing paper so the resulting work has several layers of drawings which add lots of movement and action to the atmosphere of the work and which represent the atmosphere of the market.
