Tad McKillop: Death

Death

Tad McKillop

I began studying figurative sculpture in 1985 at U-M, after which I apprenticed for sculptor Louis Marinaro and then went on to receive my MFA from the New York Academy of Art in 1992. I co-owned and operated a commercial fine art foundry from 1992 until 2000 and also taught sculpture and drawing at several area colleges. I built my own foundry in 2001 and continue to cast all of my work in bronze. My primary influences are history and mythology and they serve to drive the form of my work.
