My intention with this painting was to depict a scene, or mood, that typically arises when partners are not in agreement on a hot topic. The elephant represents the fragmented conversation. The gnomes each deliver their standard approaches to the dicey dialog. The brightly striped wallpaper was chosen to express the circus-y spirit of an ongoing argument that circles round and round and round.
