"Dumb bitch" is one in a series of six posters, created for Circle of Hope. The mission of Circle of Hope is to promote the health and dignity of homeless children, women, and men in Boston. The statistics are sobering, with the fastest-growing homeless population being families with children under five years old. Some of these children are with their mothers who are victims of domestic abuse. The series of posters raised awareness for donations of clothing, baby items, bedding and much-needed toiletries. The donations were packaged in time for Valentine's Day, giving support and love to women in domestic abuse shelters. The familiar graphic of the Valentine heart was arresting with a not-so-uncommon sentiment heard by these victims of abuse. Circle of Hope was able to serve more than 4,700 homeless individuals last year. I am honored to have contributed to this worthwhile cause.
