My father (Professor Aarre K. Lahti, U of M) described Grandfather's (John Lahti) house painted interiors using Burning Birch Bark to do marbling on walls. I thought I should try it, but no Birch Bark in Ojai, so switched over to the welding tanks. The Actylene torch has one problem which is that it is released under pressure, whereas bark just wafts up in lazy curves, oh well. Experiments in painting.
