I am a painter. I work with color to achieve movement and energy in a non-representational way. My goal is to draw the viewer into the painting and explore the fluid movement, the layers and depth of the colors. Like a dance, the color moving back and forth evokes curiosity and intrigue. During my years at Michigan, I studied under “colorist” Vincent Castagnacci. “Castagnacci opened my eyes to color and I will be forever grateful.”
“Summer Rhythm” Being in the flow with the elements and rhythm of a summer night: painting, barefoot, the sounds of crickets in the background, a warm breeze coming in the window and moving to the beat of the music playing.
