My investigations into painting have led me to explore and use the mixed media aspect of painting. I am interested in marrying painted relief elements with flat decorated relief element. I am not an abstract expressionist and some of my favorite painters are. I continue to paint and develop, research and experiment. My work carries both abstract and expressionist elements to it. I am fortunate to have continued painting during the last 40 or more years and not waited until I retired or made more money. I think that painting chose me. My work is informed by Abstract Expressionism.
