I make ethereal, mixed media landscape paintings in celebration of the natural world, typically by combining transparent watercolor and soft pastel on heavy paper to create works that are simultaneously saturated and translucent. This piece was inspired by the play between light from the rising sun and the coastal fog pushed into San Diego's Los Pe–asquitos Canyon Preserve by the Pacific Ocean.Ê
