In this time of increasing awareness of racial inequalities it is important to turn inward and reflect not only on obvious racism, but also the racial disparities that we continue to perpetuate within our own communities. My poster draws attention to the fact that UofM enrolls only far fewer Black students than are represented in the population of Michigan. When we look within at our own shortcomings and acceptance of racism we can truly work towards being anti-racist.
