This drawing is part of a series that depicts the pitfalls of egomania and its effects on one’s mental space. The series can be viewed as an individual who is very insecure, or someone who is extremely vain. Both interpretations show the anger and frustration with egomania and self-obsession. The drawings parallel the dramatic nature of self-hate and the surreal experience of mental deterioration. My goal throughout the series was to create a dramatic and uncomfortable light to encroach on the viewer’s space.
