I have been creating Nationals recap videos for the Michigan Dance team for the past three years. The first two were superficial and lacked a deeper meaning, purely showcasing the highlights of the competition. Upon creating the 2020 installment I wanted to show the raw emotions and behind the scenes moments that go into the culmination of a year's worth of hard work competed in one weekend. No second chances. For this project I donned many hats; a member of the team competing, director, producer, videographer, and editor. While watching this film, I want the viewer to understand the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into this, frankly under-appreciated, sport.
