I created this gown in my Garment Design class as a historical piece. I drew inspiration from 19th century tea gowns and western bonnets to construct a dress that shows contrast in its fusion of ruffled and flat areas. My aim was also to achieve length with a skirt that touches the floor, and with sleeves that are almost as long.
