The original photo reference was taken in Chicago, where I spent my first year of college at. As a person who spent the most time in the Southern part of the country, Chicago's cold and windy weather leaves a strong impression in my mind. This print aims to capture the artist's mood in the winter morning while the city is still quiet. The moon is setting and the sober sunlight shines on the flying birds, which brought up the sense of loneliness of a single student starting his new stage of life in an unfamiliar environment.
