Monoprint Printmaking

Undergraduate
This series of 2 monoprints is meant to be read left to right, emphasizing my developing relationship with self image and vulnerability. The work on the left emanates confidence with bright color and steady posture while the right takes a turn becoming dark and unsure, with a figure visibly insecure through posture and expression. I see myself literally and figuratively in these images as it shows the reality of what occurs in my mind when taking a closer look at all parts of myself. At first I am unfazed and brave when facing the world outside my window, but the longer I remain in the spotlight, the less comfortable I become in the place I frequently change my clothes.
