Safety Protocols & Incident Reporting

The Stamps School of Art & Design maintains multiple media-based studios to support a range of creative practices. These studios include equipment and materials that are capable of producing direct or indirect hazards, and thus require ongoing monitoring for safety and compliance.

Stamps Safety Comittee

The Stamps School of Art & Design Safety Committee plays an important role in monitoring safety and compliance in the School's media-based studios, and in ensuring a safe research and working environment.

U-M Division of Public Safety and Security

U-M's Division of Public Safety and Security (DPSS) conducts all police and security operations at the University of Michigan with staff on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Created in October 2012 to unify security functions that previously were embedded within different areas of the University, DPSS offers a truly integrated approach to safety and security, partnering across the University and helping everyone in the U-M community to take charge of their own safety.

U-M Emergency Management

Emergency Management serves the University of Michigan community by preparing for, protecting against, and responding to a broad range of emergencies that could impact U-M's people, operations and environment, facilitating partnerships and coordination with internal U-M units as well as local, state and federal partners.

U-M Environment, Health & Safety

U-M Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) promotes health, safety and environmental compliance within the U-M campus community by providing resources, guidelines and training to maintain a healthy workplace and to protect the environment.
