Spring Pre-College Studio for grades 9-12
Did you know that all Stamps undergraduate students are required to take Studio: 3D as a part of their first year experience? Adding three-dimensional work to your portfolio suggests that you are prepared for the Stamps curriculum!
3D Explorations is a new Stamps Pre-College Program offered this spring. This class will survey the elements of 3D design and introduces high school students to the rigor of a college-level course in 3D Design or Sculpture. Students will learn the fundamentals of working with form and space by exploring materials and processes used to create three-dimensional works of art and design. The majority of each class session is structured as studio time, giving students significant time to build their 3D design skills and to apply new concepts. Lectures, demonstrations, handouts, and slides will enhance studio projects.
3D Explorations meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00-6:30 pm at the Stamps School of Art & Design for a total of eleven sessions.
