As the Assistant Dean of Advancement, Ryan Davis brings deep experience in development and strategic leadership to this crucial position, both within and beyond the University of Michigan. Most recently at the University of Michigan, Ryan served as vice president and chief development officer at the University Musical Society (UMS), where she led development efforts; contributed to the organization’s broader strategic direction; and launched UMS's current campaign for endowment, operations, and a potential building project. Under Ryan's leadership, UMS was able to broaden the base of individual support through proactive cultivation and increased donor discovery work.
Prior to her tenure at UMS, Ryan served as chief development officer at U-M’s School of Kinesiology and as associate director of development at Michigan Medicine's Rogel Cancer Center and Frankel Cardiovascular Center. Outside the University, she served as associate director of development for the Miami Dolphins Foundation and senior director of development for the American Heart Association. A mom of four, Ryan was raised in Ann Arbor, with deep roots in Southeastern Michigan and a far-reaching professional network. In her new role, she will oversee both the Development and Marketing and Communications teams at Stamps.
