Haley (Babcock) Perkins (she/her) is an experienced museum and arts educator and arts administrator with a 14-year career spanning arts organizations, schools, museums, and even public television. She is delighted to join the Stamps community as the Public Programs and Engagement Officer at the Stamps Gallery, where she will oversee programming designed to enhance exhibitions and foster connections among students, faculty, artists, and the broader community.

Before joining Stamps, Haley served as the Assistant Director of Interpretive Programming at the Cincinnati Art Museum, where she spearheaded the development and execution of exhibition-specific programs, including the lecture series, performance programs, studio classes, teen and family programs, and summer camps. Her previous roles include Education and Engagement Coordinator at WFSU Public Media, Grants Specialist for the State of Florida Division of Arts and Culture, and Studio and Community Education Manager at the Des Moines Art Center. These experiences will greatly inform and enrich her work at Stamps, building community and student-focused programs.

In addition to her dual bachelor’s degrees from IUI, she has completed graduate coursework in Museum Education at Florida State University. An illustrator, painter, and printmaker, Haley enjoys working in an ever-evolving variety of media, most currently gel-plate printing and small acrylic paintings reminiscing on toys and ephemera of the 90s. She enjoys reading magical realism or very sad contemporary fiction, listening to podcasts in her backyard hammock, and exploring new restaurants, farmer’s markets, and museums with her husband. They share their home with a very sassy, very fluffy black cat, Bertie.
